The Two Most Asked Questions in the World of Physical Fitness....
 

Males:What exercises can I do to get rid of this spare tire?”  Men tend to hold excess weight around the middle.
 
Females: “What exercises will reduce my hips and thighs?”  Women tend to gain weight in the hips and upper thigh area.
 
Guess what?  I hate to be the barer of bad news but there are no exercises known to man or woman that will reduce either of these problem areas.
 
I watch overweight ladies come into the gym day after day and do endless leg presses, adductor, abductor exercises and become discouraged because their hips and thighs are not getting smaller.
 
I see  overweight men come into the gym day after day and do endless abdominal machine crunches, sit ups and side bends, always wondering why their mid section is not disappearing.
 
You can perform any or all of these exercises and you will probably tone up the muscles in your problem areas but you will never know it as long as the areas are covered with a layer of fat.
 
There are only two ways to reduce fat: Eat less and/or do more cardio activity.  Unless you expend more calories than you are taking in, you will not lose fat.  You can do hundreds of sit ups every day or thousands of leg lifts but those jeans won’t fit any differently  until you decide to lose the fat.
 
So.....make up your mind, get things in perspective and hire a personal trainer.
